McGill Architectural Products Ltd., located in Pickering, is currently seeking an Architectural Estimator to be part of our Estimating team. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter to join our growing team. We specialize in the manufacturing and distribution of architectural specialty products for the construction industry across North America. With the success of over 40 years in business, we have developed a quality line of products including louvers, sun screens and entrance grilles.

The role of the Estimator is to work within the Estimating team. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be supporting Project Management and the Sales Team. You will be responsible to provide detailed estimates and quantity surveys on a daily basis as accurately as possible.

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of a College Program with focus on Architectural/Mechanical Technology
• Minimum two year experience estimating similar products
• Excellent academic record with proficiency in Math.
• Proficient with reading Architectural and Mechanical drawings
• Knowledge of CAD would be a benefit
• Excellent communication skills – Verbal and Written

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Sales Manager to produce detailed estimates
• Provide feedback to project managers on project changes in scope
• Provide customer quotations
